Frequently Asked Questions

Click the workshop you wish to attend on our homepage, which will open up the relevant Eventbrite page. Click the green 'Register' button and then the white 'Join Waitlist' button to add your name and contact details.
Our recommended age ranges (usually spanning three school year groups) are to make sure each child is on a level where they can learn while having fun, otherwise we find it can be difficult for children at both ends, with the material being either too challenging or not challenging enough.

If your child is in the same school year as others who are within the age range, it is fine for them to attend. Otherwise, please contact us to discuss suitability.

Please note that for insurance reasons we are unable to take any students younger than 5.
Our online registration system guarantees you a space in a workshop. Registration closes during the morning before a workshop, allowing us to prepare the correct amount of equipment and materials to bring to the venue.

If a workshop is not full but registration has closed, it is sometimes possible to turn up and register/pay on the day, but we cannot guarantee a space. If you send a quick email to before you come along, there is a much higher chance we will be able to accommodate you.
Public Workshops: The majority of our public workshops are drop-off; parents may stay to observe if they wish but we cannot guarantee space in the room, as we run workshops at many different venues.

Please note that if your child is signed up for both a morning and afternoon workshop, you will still need to collect or come and supervise your child during the lunch break.

For parents of students with SEN/D, we aim to accommodate any needs as much as possible; please contact us to discuss requirements.

Private/School Workshops: We ask for at least one adult representative from your group/school to remain present while we lead the workshop.
Public Workshops: Please contact us by email as soon as you know you will be unable to attend. Refunds are only available if requested by 14 days before the workshop date, unless there is a waiting list and we are able to fill your space in time. There is no fee to transfer your order to a friend or sibling but please let us know any updated details.

Private/School Workshops: We ask for a 20% deposit to hold a date for you. You will be invoiced for the remainder on the day of the workshop; cancellation requests received 28 days or less before the event date incur loss of deposit.
We are based in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex, UK. While we do not have a permanent physical location, you'll find us running workshops at many local community centres and event venues.

We also travel to schools and other locations in Sussex, and occasionally further afield.
